Backend Engineer

Design and build the foundation of our products: secure, fast, and scalable APIs. You will work with Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL to power our web and mobile apps.

What you'll do

• Design and build REST APIs with Node.js & Express.js
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, efficient queries, and migrations
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and API security best practices
• Write unit & integration tests and API documentation
• Monitor, debug, and improve system performance in production

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of backend experience with Node.js & Express.js
• Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization
• Solid grasp of REST principles, JWT/OAuth, and application security (OWASP basics)
• Comfortable with Git, testing (Jest/Vitest), and code reviews
• Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken (required)
• Able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, ORMs (Prisma/Sequelize/Knex), and Redis
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Cloudflare)
• Experience with message queues or microservice architectures
